I thought it was about time I gave you a little update.

So far this year we have managed to squeeze in 3 camping trips, 2 hotel stays and a trip to France. Not bad eh?

The first 2 DA camps that we intended to go on didn’t happen. The Valentines meet was cancelled and the next one was limited space due to a misunderstanding and waterlogged pitches. So we booked direct club sites and went it alone. We visited Chester Fairoaks C&M Club site and Burrs Country Park C&M Club site.

We then had a quick dash to France for just an overnight stay at Boulogne Sur Mer to allow a bit of shopping in the French Hypermarche.

We made the Lancs & Cheshire DA Easter Meet and had a great time.

Our next trip will be another quick trip to France for the May Day Bank holiday with our friends Trevor & Jeanette. We are off to Lille for a couple of nights. The difference this time is we are using a new to us Ferry service and route. DFDS Dover to Dunkirk route. We are going to take a look at Lille and of course do a little shopping.

The gap is due to me being on a course for 3 Saturdays in April and also having gigs and rehearsals at weekends. We are still hoping to complete our “at least one weekend a month” plan but April is not looking possible so we might have to grab 2 weekends in one month.

Also planning is of course about to get under way for our “BIG Holiday”
