We visited this site the last weekend of September 2020. We had booked so that herself and friend Michelle could visit Yarndale. A massive craft fair involving all things wool. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 it was cancelled this year.
The entrance to the site is a little hairy as it’s via a swing bridge over the canal and in order for the bridge to swing it isn’t actually attached at one end so it moves as you drive onto it. The video below shows us leaving the site.
It’s only a short walk into town along the canal.
The site is well equipped
- Hard Standing for caravans/motor homes
- Electric and water on most pitches ( there was no water on our pitches)
- Camping field
- Toilets and showers (Toilet block in field closed winter months – October to April, main toilets and showers open all year – Shower Room not heated )
- Function/Games room with pool table dart board, Tv
- Bar open bank holidays and special occasions
- Function Room available to hire, including catering if required. Local live bands also available to hire – contact us for more information
- Part of a working farm situated in a rural position next to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on the edge of the market town of Skipton.
- Enjoying panoramic views of the Aire Valley.
- Public footpaths and the Canal Towpath run close by making it ideal for walking..
- With the Yorkshire Dales close at hand it is an ideal base for touring. Alternatively the bustling market town of Skipton is only 1.4 miles to the high street, 20 minutes walk by road or canal towpath
