We stayed here for 2 weeks at the beginning of August 2020. The site was an alternative to our already booked 2 weeks in the South of France.
I phoned and spoke to Ed who managed to accommodate 2 vans for 2 weeks by shuffling a  couple of pitches around.

The site is a Camping & Caravan Club registered Certified Site which is a Members Only Site. There are a number of pitches for caravans which all have Electricity, Fresh Water and Drainage on pitch.

There is a Shower, Washing Up Facilities and a Toilet. During our visit Ed & Gemma had requested that those with their own facilities should use them and leave the site facilities for those that do not have their own. A perfectly reasonable request which meant that fewer people were using them.

The cost for all of this was just £15 a night!

Ed & Gemma also hire out Fire Pits and sell logs. Sell eggs from the chickens that are roaming around the farm yard and sausages and meat from their own farm animals.

There is onsite fishing which is free to those staying onsite in a small river at the bottom of the farm. The river was very overgrown but was still fishable. In fact we caught so many fish we had to take the line out of the water just to open my can of coke.

There is plenty to do in the area too with more National Trust and English Heritage properties than you can shake a stick at! Including Rudyard Kipling’s House, Dover Castle which are just two that we visited.  The local towns and villages are beautiful and very hard not to fall in love with.

The local town of Tenterden is home to a Steam Railway and a Museum, some nice eating establishments and a vineyard.

The site is a little out of the way for a stopover enroute to the Tunnel or Ferry but it’s an ideal location to explore Kent & Sussex.
