It’s almost time to depart old Blighty for la Belle France. 4 days to be exact! Woohoo!! Excited!

We are trying something new this time. We are taking an overnight crossing from Portsmouth to Clean/Ouisterham. Departs Portsmouth at 2300 and arrives in France at 0700. We have an inside cabin so should arrive nice and rested.

We are staying at Le Chant D’oiesau near Saumur again so that means just about a 3 hour drive in France and about 5-6 hours in UK. I would swop that if I could but it’s not an option.

Looking at the good old Google Maps it looks like there is a Carrefour Supermarche just outside the port so that’s our first stop. Breakfast and load up the fridge, (don’t forget the wine).

I am determined to take a nice relaxed visit this year and to Blog our trip better than in the past, yeah right you just know there will be way too much wine and cheese consumed and I’ll forget all my good intentions as happens every trip we go on. I still haven’t completed August 23’s summer blog yet….. Let’s just say Hot! Damd Hot! & Wildfires….
